Wye Heritage Marina is rated a 5 Anchor, 5 Diamond Clean Marine Program

Wye Heritage Marina is a proud advocate and participant of the Clean Marine Program. Developed by various private and public stakeholders, this initiative serves to inspire owners, operators, and patrons of marine-based facilities to incorporate environmentally-sound practices in all commercial operations and recreational activities. Fundamentally, the goal is to protect and preserve our waterways for all to enjoy.

To ensure the highest degree of commitment, Wye Heritage Marina considers its patrons and staff alike as stewards who consider the environment a top priority. The Clean Marine Program was implemented in 2002 and since the Wye Heritage community has diligently worked toward making the marina the greenest facility on the Bay. Waste, dock and yard management, boat maintenance, retail operations, visitor and office facilities, spills and emergency preparedness, training, awareness, and education initiatives have been readily implemented and enforced to achieve this goal.

In 2011, after 8 years of acknowledgement and compliance, Wye Heritage Marina was awarded with a 5-leaf, 5-diamond-rating! This is the highest rating a facility can achieve under the clean marine program and only 5 marinas in Ontario have achieved this milestone to date! The Wye Heritage community will continue to enthusiastically promote and practice the program's principles to help make Georgian Bay the cleanest and greenest playground for generations to come.
